Chernivtsi region achieved the title of the most environmentally friendly region of Ukraine.

Chernivtsi region acknowledged as the most environmentally friendly region of Ukraine, which is evidenced by the results of the environmental rating published by the Focus magazine, gazeta.ua reports. The main reason is there are no such large-scale industrial complexes as in the east of the country.

The overall result of the Chernivtsi region is the following: the total score – 53.5;
pollutant emissions – 0.4 t / sq. km;
life expectancy for both sexes – 73.3 years.
